This presentation is designed to educate parents, Guardians or other individuals who serve in an advocacy role for a loved one with a disability. Caroline will introduce and discuss some basic planning tools that advocates can utilize to prepare for and enhance the quality of their loved one’s future.  The presentation will primarily focus on a variety of legal and financial topics, including:

- Legal Guardianships and Powers of Attorney

- Letters of Intent

- Public Benefits (Financial and Medical)

- Supplemental Needs Trusts and ABLE Accounts

- Special Education Rights.

 

About Caroline Bladdick

Caroline Currier Bladdick is an attorney at the Miller Butler law firm in Rogers, Arkansas.  She primarily practices in Estate and Special Needs Planning as well as Elder Law.  Caroline received her bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas.  She is passionate about educating vulnerable populations and connecting them with community resources.
